Design Agency Huddersfield? The SHARP Agency was founded in 2010 by three partners who believed brands can do more than sell. They can shift culture, build trust, and create positive change.

 

Those founders are:

One Community: Defining a brand to uplift a community

In Kirklees, One Community helps local charities access funding through grants. We helped them clarify what a community foundation is and sharpen their message by uncovering their One Thing: putting money where it matters in Kirklees. From there, we delivered a full rebrand across touchpoints, including a user-friendly website for donors and community charities, a brand and copy toolkit, photography guidance and a social launch campaign.

One Community: Match It! campaign

At the height of Covid-19, we created the Match It! identity and campaign to help charities ring-fence match-funding, effectively doubling donations when support was needed most. The work included the campaign name, bold visual identity, direct copy and practical marketing and training resources to help charities, businesses and not-for-profit organisations take action. The campaign helped £286,790 become £639,635, with 131,388 people benefiting from the money raised.

Huddersfield Unlimited stands for Huddersfield, its businesses, investors and communities. We created a living, breathing brand that positions the town as one of unlimited positivity, built on four pillars: Innovation, Creativity, Culture and Achievement. Designed to be flexible and proudly independent, the identity celebrates Huddersfield’s spirit and gives it local, national and global appeal.

HomeServe: Creating a cohesive global brand

HomeServe operates across five countries with millions of customers, but the brand was disjointed across territories. We travelled to key markets to run Co-Create by SHARP workshops with employees, stakeholders and customers, uncovering a unifying insight and shaping the proposition “Life Keeps Moving”. We then brought the new brand to life across TV, direct marketing, out of home, email, social, digital and web, redesigning everything from the logo and brand book to vehicles and guidelines.

Cotton Traders: Spreading the love to +55s

For Cotton Traders, we used Co-Create to listen to women who had plenty to say about fashion and how it is marketed to over-50s. The insight was clear: they are young at heart and want clothes with personality and versatility. We developed an insight-led proposition, “The style of your life”, and created campaign concepts and copy to bring it to life across channels including TV, social, press, out of home and digital. The work helped drive standout awareness and even helped the brand dominate search rankings for the memorable product naming strategy around the “Swishy Skirt”.

Elex Tech: Clash of Kings, fight for downloads

To launch the strategy game app Clash of Kings, we created a high-impact campaign designed to dominate the space where it was experienced. Our creative took over Oxford Circus Underground with immersive out of home executions including a tunnel wrap, animated digital screens, mega escalator panels and cross-track presence, pulling commuters into the world of the game. The result: downloads increased by over 300%.
