Best Western partner with Sharp to launch “A wave with words”
Nothing says ‘thinking of you’ like a handwritten letter.
In times like these, the little things mean the world – like a personal letter sent straight to those who could use a friend. That’s where Best Western comes in! Best Western are putting their letter-writing skills to good use and reaching out to anyone who’d like to keep in touch during the lockdown.
They’ve got grown-up wordsmiths, small scribblers, toddlers and teens all ready to lend a hand. So if someone you know feels a little further away than usual, let them do their bit. What was the role of The SHARP Agency?
Best Western came to us with the idea of getting volunteers from across their organisation, to write letters on behalf of anyone who would like to send a letter to a loved one or neighbour during these lockdown times. We loved the idea!
They asked us if we would partner with them to create the name for the initiative, and then to design the logo and the visual look and feel. And they said they needed it all doing within three days!!!
So it was a case of all hands to the decks to make this happen.
After a day we had a number of names. And by the end of it, one was chosen: A WAVE WITH WORDS.
A play on words itself, it was a friendly name that explained the essence of the initiative.
Next came the logo design. Our creative team pulled out all the stops. By the end of the day, we had a number of logo concepts and one was selected.
The design was warm and friendly with a handmade feel to it.
The design was then refined and all the assets created and supplied.
The SHARP team then collapsed in a heap, and had a well-earned beer.
