Match It!
At the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, SHARP made a difference to One Community, Kirklees and over 130,000 needy people by supporting a worthy local cause.
We created an identity for a programme that invited local Charities to ring-fence up to £10,000 for match-funding – effectively doubling every donation at a time when charities and food banks were under extreme pressure.
Our strategy was to mount a campaign that didn’t add to this noise. From the instant, catchy campaign name ‘Match It!’ to the colourful identity, the execution was bold, direct and cheerful. It offered the marketing and training resources designed to inspired targets (local charities, businesses and not-for-profit organisations) to take the next step.
The logo reinforces the mechanic (two people working together). Copy was direct; using clear, concise, effective headlines and CTAs. ‘Match It!’ left no room for confusion or uncertainty.
Overall, our ‘Match It!’ campaign helped £286,790 become £639,635. A rich reward for all the time, effort and creative energy donated to make this campaign a success. The strategy of doing something different in unexpectedly desperate times genuinely did pay off.
