Our SHARP x Home-Start Kirklees ‘Voliday’…

This was a challenge. A sprint. A brief foray into a local charity’s digital space, with no time to lose.

Our initial insights were invaluable. Experience, enthusiasm, brand guidelines, a hugely insightful

introduction to the charity from Richard Coteau, CEO of Home-Start Kirklees (a charity that helps local

families with young children), the desire to help… and the day to donate it.

Richard told us what the charity does, and what their website didn’t.

We had a homepage to fix, a flipchart ‘wireframe’ and 6 hours (minus lunch) before presenting back to our

newest client.

When we heard of the isolation, mental health struggles and financial difficulties parents as young as 14

facing, it was clear what was needed.

More volunteers. More donations from local businesses. More people to know about the life-changing

impacts Home-Start Kirklees has on families who really need a hand to get through these tough times.

So their new homepage has been beautifully designed and written with clarity in mind.

This is just the start.
